Your impact

• A Technical Leadership Role with Impact: In this role, you will assume technical responsibility for key infrastructure issues and serve as a key point of contact for technical questions within the team. You will provide guidance, drive initiatives, share knowledge, and contribute to the sustainable development of technical standards, architectures, and best practices.

• AI-Ready Infrastructure with a Long-Term Vision: You will further develop our IT and network infrastructure so that it not only meets today’s requirements but also lays the foundation for future technologies. This includes an infrastructure that is scalable, secure, hybrid, and ready for the effective use of AI-powered services and automation.

• Technological Advancements in Servers, Cloud, and Virtualization: You will manage and optimize our server and virtualization environment in a hybrid Microsoft Windows and Linux landscape and play an active role in modernizing our platforms—from traditional data center structures to cloud-native operating models.

• A driver of innovation in automation and smart processes: You identify opportunities for optimization early on and actively drive modern solutions in the infrastructure environment. Using monitoring and data center management systems, you analyze operational data, improve performance and availability, and introduce new approaches to automation, intelligent analysis, and AI-supported processes.

• Security, Stability & Future Readiness: You will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and further development of our network and security environment—including firewalls, VPN connections, and central security services—and will ensure that our systems remain secure, resilient, and technologically compatible.

• Forward-looking service quality: You not only resolve issues and reliably implement changes, but also continuously refine processes, standards, and documentation. Your goal is an IT department that is proactive, efficient, and capable of innovation.

Your expertise

• You have several years of experience in the administration of network, server, and IT infrastructures and are looking to take the next step into a technically challenging, forward-looking role.

• You have in-depth knowledge of network technologies such as TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and VPN, as well as experience in operating secure and stable infrastructures.

• You have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and hybrid environments with Microsoft Azure / Entra ID.

• You have hands-on experience with virtualization solutions—ideally VMware—as well as with firewall and security systems.

• You have expertise in monitoring, software deployment, endpoint management, and IT service processes, and you see these areas as key drivers of quality, scalability, and innovation.

• You enjoy taking on technical responsibilities, organizing technical topics, and supporting your colleagues with your expertise.

• You're interested in technological advancements, automation, and the effective use of AI in IT infrastructure, and you want to actively help shape new initiatives rather than just manage them.
