How does the recruiting process work at JSMD?

Our recruiting process is primarily aimed at finding out whether your and our values, the respective professional approaches as well as the mutual expectations regarding development and role in our growing and innovative company match. For this purpose, we invite you to the following recruiting experience:

#1 Check-in with your Recruiter:

In a first interview with your recruiter, you can ask all your questions about our company and our culture. To get to know you better and find out if you are a good fit for our company, you will be invited to talk about your previous work experience and your personal values. It's important to us that you only reveal as much about yourself as you want and feel comfortable with.

#2 Face the Challenge:

Your chance to show what you are made of!
The professional interview includes getting to know your potential manager and serves as a professional deep dive, during which you can dive into daily business and the challenges of the position together.
Depending on the position, we integrate a case study. It is designed to analyze real problems from your potential day-to-day work, to develop solution strategies and to derive conclusive recommendations. In this way, we find out whether our working methods and approaches complement each other positively.

#3 Meet the Team (optional)

What is the onboarding process at JSMD?

To ensure that you have a successful start with us, we have of course thought of a few things for your start.
As a new starter, you can look forward to the "First Day", during which you will receive various presentations providing you with all the important information about our company, the culture and the way we work together. Of course, you can also get to know new colleagues directly during the morning together.
In your initial phase, you will also be assigned a buddy who will be there for all your questions. The induction process varies depending on your function and department, but generally includes orientation meetings, specialist training and the opportunity to network with other colleagues and get to know and arrive at us as a company.
That's because our goal is to equip you, as a new employee, with the tools and resources you need to become comfortable in your roles and feel part of the JSMD team.

What is actually meant by the Buddy Program?

So that you are not alone with your open questions at the beginning, you will be assigned a buddy for the first few months. On the one hand, your buddy will support you in familiarizing yourself with your business area and your tasks. He or she will also help you to find your way around the company and to network with important contacts.

Is it possible to work remotely?

Mobile working is even already an established part of our corporate culture. You are free to choose whether you want to work in the modern office or work remotely.öched. This flexibilityäWe want to offer our employees this flexibility so that they can achieve a healthy balance between their professional and private lives.

Is it also possible to work remotely abroad for a time?

Now that mobile working has become a permanent feature at our company, the demand to work temporarily from abroad has also increased. That's why we're pleased to be able to offer our employees the option of using mobile working from 25 EU countries for up to 30 days a year. This means that everyday working life can be truly flexible. 

What are my working hours at JSMD?

We have a 40-hour work week, which is regulated as trust-based working hours. Our goal is to create a pleasant and productive working environment that allows our employees to balance their personal and professional commitments. In this context, the trust-based working time provides the necessary flexibility for our employees.
Of course, in consultation with the department, it is also possible to perform the role on a part-time basis.

How will I be supported in my personal and professional personnel development?

Let's grow together - This approach to personnel development is very important to us, which is why you will discuss your personal development together with your manager at least twice a year in a performance review.
Of course, good personnel development also includes a broad range of further training opportunities. As a subsidiary of ProSiebenSat.1 Media, our employees have the opportunity to take advantage of a wide range of different training courses and thus grow beyond themselves, both professionally and personally.
In addition, we also offer our employees the opportunity to continuously develop themselves on various topics that are of interest in their daily work via LinkedIn Learning. 

Does JSMD support me in learning languages?

In addition to our group language courses, we also offer our employees the opportunity to improve their language skills with the help of the 1:1 learning platform PREPLY.

STUDENT INTERNSHIP - APPRENTICESHIP - DUAL STUDY PROGRAM - INTERNSHIP - WORK-STUDY - FINAL THESIS

Can I apply for an internship of less than 3 months or a student internship?

We offer mandatory internships, the length of which depends on your study regulations, as well as voluntary internships up to a maximum duration of 3 months.

Our goal is to provide our interns with a deeper insight into operational processes so that they can also take on their own areas of responsibility or projects. Therefore, it is possible to combine a mandatory internship with a directly subsequent voluntary internship. The prerequisite for an internship is a current certificate of enrollment (exception: orientation internship before the start of studies).

Unfortunately, a student internship is not possible with us. You can find all open internships in our job market.

I am looking for a position as a working student. In which areas and under which conditions is this possible with you?

We are regularly looking for working students for all business areas and correspondingly from various fields of study. The prerequisite is that you are a full-time student and can present a current certificate of enrollment.

I am looking for a dual study program or an apprenticeship. When, for which professions/study programs and how can I apply?

We offer dual study courses in marketing management and online marketing in cooperation with
IU- International University. You can join us in April and October. The application process is linked to the IU.

We offer apprenticeships in the field of IT. You can find open apprenticeship positions in our job market. 

I would like to write my bachelor's or master's thesis. Can I apply for it and what do I need for it?

We are always delighted to hear from interested parties who find us so attractive as a company that they proactively apply to us with an exciting topic - this fits in very well with our corporate culture. Simply upload your application documents, including your idea for a suitable topic for your thesis, under "Enter speculative application". Our HR team will then check whether there is a suitable need in our company for your idea and will of course get back to you.
